F&O: Put writing at all immediate strikes shows Nifty may hold up  The Nifty50 index opened in the negative but managed to recover sharply from lower levels and headed towards the 10,750 level on Wednesday. It formed a Piercing Line pattern on the daily scale, as it recovered its losses of the last session by more than a half. It has been making lower lows from last four sessions and holds above the 10,750-10,777 zone can negate the same to extend its recent bounce towards 10,850 and then 10,929 levels.  Nifty has reclaimed its 50-day EMA while on the downside it has support at 10,650 and then 10,600 levels.  On the options front, maximum Put OI was at 10,000 followed by 10,500 and 10,700 levels, while maximum Call OI was at 11,000 followed by 10,900 level. Domestic automobiles soar 25% yoy in June 2018 as low base steers growth

Domestic vehicle volumes surged 25% yoy in June 2018 as each category of vehicles reported strong growth in excess of 22% yoy. 3Ws led the charge with 56% yoy growth followed by CVs at 42% yoy. CVs benefited from an uptick in infrastructure and consumption related growth. Two wheeler sales were up 22% yoy as rural demand remained strong on the back of two successive monsoons. The passenger vehicles segment saw volume growth of 38% yoy with UVs leading the way with 47% yoy growth. Sensex, Nifty extend loss; Pharma stocks lead

Nifty has further lost ground and is trading near the day's low in the afternoon trade, ahead of the ECB policy decision due later in the day. All sectoral indices are trading in the red barring Pharma that gained over 1%. On the economy front, WPI inflation for the month of May increased to 14-month high of 4.43% from 3.18% in previous month. At 1:01 PM, BSE Sensex was at 35,533, down 206 points, while NSE Nifty was at 10,788, down 69 points. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.41% at 16,011, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.16% at 17,001. Sun Pharma (+2.20%), HCL Technologies (+1.29%), Lupin (+1.14%), Grasim (+1.04%) and Cipla (+0.97%) were the top gainers on NSE. Tech Mahindra (-3.12%), Adani Ports (-2.09%), GAIL (-2.00%), State Bank of India (-1.93%) and IOC (-1.91%) were the top losers on NSE. Sensex falls over 200 points; RCom, Avenue Supermarts stocks decline

The Nifty lost further ground on the back of ongoing developments in Karnataka. However, it's approaching its important support of 10,600 levels. Bank Nifty too slipped further approaching its support of 21-DEMA of 25,800 levels. On the political front, Hearing Congress-JD(S) plea against Karnataka Governor inviting BJP to form the government, the Supreme Court ordered for a floor test to be conducted tomorrow in Karnataka assembly at 4 PM. All sectoral indices are in the red barring FMCG, with the PSU Bank and Pharma indices losing 0.90% each. Benchmark indices opened higher on Monday led by IT, PSU Bank, auto, FMCG and pharma stocks and also positive Asian cues and after RBI further liberalised ECB policy. At 9:38 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading higher by 173 points at 35,143 and the Nifty50 index was up 48 points at 10,740. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap gained 0.21% and the BSE Smallcap indices added 0.54%, respectively. Shares of Reliance Industries were down 1% after Q4 earnings. The company’s consolidated revenue stood at Rs1,20,143cr, up 29% yoy. Net profit for the quarter came in 1% higher than the estimated figure of Rs9,347cr. Kalpataru Power Transmission stock gained 2.5% after the global EPC player secured new orders worth Rs1,463cr. निफ्टी 10600 के करीब, सेंसेक्स 40 अंक कमजोर

खराब ग्लोबल संकेतों के चलते घरेलू बाजारों पर दबाव देखने को मिल रहा है। शुरुआती कारोबार में सेंसेक्स और निफ्टी में हल्की गिरावट के साथ कारोबार हो रहा है। निफ्टी 10,600 के पास है जबकि सेंसेक्स में 40 अंकों की गिरावट नजर आ रही है। मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में भी हल्का दबाव दिख रहा है। बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 0.2 फीसदी गिरा है, जबकि निफ्टी के मिडकैप 100 इंडेक्स में 0.15 फीसदी की गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। बीएसई का स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 0.1 फीसदी लुढ़का है। फिलहाल बीएसई का 30 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स सेंसेक्स 37 अंकों की गिरावट के साथ 34,579 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं एनएसई का 50 शेयरों वाला प्रमुख इंडेक्स निफ्टी 13 अंक गिरकर 10,601 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। बैंकिंग, मेटल, रियल्टी और पावर शेयरों में सबसे ज्यादा दबाव नजर आ रहा है। बैंक निफ्टी 0.3 फीसदी की गिरावट के साथ 24,965 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। हालांकि आईटी शेयरों में अच्छी खरीदारी देखने को मिल रही है। बाजार में कारोबार के इस दौरान दिग्गज शेयरों में सिप्ला, गेल, एनटीपीसी, जी एंटरटेनमेंट, एचडीएफसी, कोटक महिंद्र...

Nifty near 10,500 mark; Infosys down marginally

Benchmark indices extended gains amid global clues and macro data, as investors await Infosys Q4 earnings due later in the day. At 9:53 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 34,218, up 118 points, while the Nifty50 index was trading at 10,489, up 30 points. BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap indices were up by 0.55% and 0.64%, respectively. On the economy front, retail inflation rose 4.28% in March vs 4.4% in February. IIP grew at 7.1% in February, driven by strong manufacturing growth, as against 7.4% in January. Shares of Hindalco and Vedanta gained after aluminium prices on the London Metal Exchange rose for seventh day in a row. Nifty above 10,350 mark; Lemon Tree, Titan stocks gain

Benchmark indices extended early gains after it opened on a positive note, with banking stocks emerging among top gainers. At 11:22 AM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 33,762, up 134 points, while the Nifty50 index was trading at 10,379, up 47 points. The BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap indices was down by 0.13% and 0.04%, respectively. Lemon Tree Hotels scrip got listed at Rs61.60 on the BSE, a 10% premium over the issue price of Rs56. Shares of ICICI Bank fell 2% after media reports said that directors are likely to meet this week to discuss the way ahead for CEO Chanda Kochhar. Shares of Titan rose over 2.5% after it said FY17-18 was a very satisfactory year in terms of overall business performance. Domestic benchmark indices continued to trade in the negative territory led by losses in shares of metal, infrastructure, and oil and gas companies. At 2:10 PM, the BSE Sensex was trading at 33,022, down 151 points, while the Nifty50 index was trading at 10,142, down 42 points. The BSE Midcap and the BSE Smallcap indices was down by 0.48% and 0.80%, respectively. Nifty Metal was the worst performer among sectoral indices on the NSE, down 1.5%, as investors booked profits after Tuesday's gains. Nifty Auto was the top gainer among sectoral indices, up 0.3%.
