Shriram EPC secures order of Rs 71 crore, stock soars over 8%
Shriram Group’s engineering business arm, Shriram EPC Ltd on Wednesday has bagged an order worth Rs 71 crore from the Arulmigu Dandayathupani or Palani temple in Tamil Nadu.
The scope of the transportation project work includes design, manufacture, supply, erection, commissioning, operating and maintenance of the second ropeway to the temple that will serve 1,200 persons per hour.
Meanwhile, the stock on the opening hours of trade soared 8.83% at Rs 26.50 per share on BSE. The stock on NSE attracted a traded volume of 5,34,526 shares and a traded value of 142.77 lakh on Thursday’s intra-day trade.
On a yearly basis, the stock has underperformed BSE Small-cap and BSE Consumer Durables indices.

Shriram EPC Ltd is currently trading at Rs 26.05, up by Rs 1.7 or 6.98% from its previous closing of Rs 24.35 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 27 and has touched a high and low of Rs 27.3 and Rs 25.9 respectively. So far 1198720(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2287.39 crore.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 40.8 on 07-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs 20.55 on 16-Aug-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 25.9 and Rs 24.15 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 29.82 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 67.57 % and 2.61 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading above its 200 DMA.
