Live Stock Market Updates – Nifty tests 9600 on the downside
HDFC and ITC were dragging the major market indices during morning hours. The heavyweights are trading lower by 1.1% and 0.7% respectively.
BSE Healthcare is the top gaining index in the morning session on Friday. It is up by 1.3% at 14434.10. Lupin is contributing majorly to the index gains and pulling it to higher levels.
Lupin is trading higher by 3.3% at Rs 1117.20 per share on BSE. Lupin is contributing majorly to index gains.
Other stocks in the index viz. Kopran is up 3.4% at Rs 86.35 per share, Marksans Pharma is up 2.8% at Rs 42.85 per share, Narayana Hrudalaya is up 3.3% at Rs 307 .35 per share, Ajanta Pharma is up2.9% at Rs 1555.95 per share and Bliss GVS Pharma is also trading higher by 2.4% at Rs 151.80 per share.
Tyre stock started their Friday’s trade on a bullish mood. Modi Rubber was the top gainer in the tyres sector.The stock was locked in upper circuit higher by 5% at Rs 103.85 per share. Harrisons Malayalam was up by nearly 5% at Rs 82.6 per share.
Other tyre stocks like Balkrishna Industries, Good Year, CEAT Limited and MRF Limited were trading in the positive territory in morning hours on Friday.
At 10 AM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 31,317 down 51 points, while Nifty is trading at 9658 down 16 points. A total of 30 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 11 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.15% at 14,925, while BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.06% at 15,798.
Some buying activity is seen in Healthcare and Realty indices, while Auto, Bankex and Telecom indices are showing weakness on BSE.
Lupin , Dr. Reddy Laboratories and Aurobindo Pharma are among the gainers, Bharti infratel, Abuja Cements, HDFC and ITC are losing on the NSE.
The INDIA VIX is up 0.6% at 11.0.
