HCL Technologies jumps as board announces interim dividend

HCL Technologies stock jumped as the board is scheduled to meet on July 27 to consider payment of second interim dividend for FY2017-18.

The record date for determining the entitlement of shareholders towards the payment of second interim dividend is August 4, 2017, subject to approval by the board of directors.

The stock gained 1.1% at Rs 860.50 per share on BSE.  On NSE, the stock attracted a traded volume of 3,38,556 shares and Rs 2,905.42 lakh.

The company has been maintaining a return on equity of 31.21% and dividend payout of 27.41%.

HCL Technologies Limited is engaged in providing a range of software development services, business process outsourcing services and information technology (IT) infrastructure services.

The Company’s segments include software services, infrastructure management services and business process outsourcing services.

Stock view :-

HCL Technologies Ltd is currently trading at Rs 861.6, up by Rs 10.5 or 1.23% from its previous closing of Rs 851.1 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 845 and has touched a high and low of Rs 863.5 and Rs 844.95 respectively. So far 433891(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 121450.94 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 908.4 on 06-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 709.95 on 15-Jul-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 869 and Rs 831 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.68 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.79 % and 4.54 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
