Live Stock Market Updates – Markets trade flat, VST Tillers surges over 10%

The BSE Bankex is one of the top losing indices on Tuesday. Axis Bank is majorly contributing to the index losses and dragging it to lower level. Axis Bank was down 1.6% at Rs 511.25 per share.

Other stocks viz. Punjab National Bank was down 2.3% at Rs 144 per share, Bank of Baroda was down 0.6% at Rs 166.90 per share, Kotak Bank was down 0.6% at Rs 984 per share, Federal Bank was down 0.6% at Rs 118.55 per share and HDFC Bank was down 0.2% at Rs 1687 per share.

Meanwhile, VST Tillers is surging ahead on the bourses. It was up by 10.2% at Rs 2249.85 per share. It also hit a 52-week high value of Rs 2335.

At 3 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex is trading flat at 31,311, while NSE Nifty is trading flat at 9657. A total of 80 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 55 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

The BSE mid-cap Index is trading up 0.20% at 14,847, while BSE small-cap Index is trading up 0.22% at 15,687.

Some buying activity is seen in IT, Consumer Durables and Oil & Gas indices, while FMCG, Bankex and Capital Goods indices are showing weakness on BSE.

Tata Power, Tata Motors, Infosys and IOC are among the gainers, whereas Powergrid, Lupin, GAIL and Axis Bank are losing on the NSE.

The INDIA VIX is up 0.6% at 10.7.
