Container Corporation of India soars over 3%; declares final dividend

The transportation services provider stocks are marched over 3% on BSE at 09:43 IST on Friday’s trading session.

The board of the company has declared a final dividend of Rs 7.50 per equity share of Rs 10 each which is in addition to an interim dividend of Rs.9.60 per equity share of face value Rs 10 each. The dividend declared is subject to approval by shareholders at the AGM.

As per market observers, the company has been able to maintain a healthy dividend payout of 27.11%.

The total traded quantity in the early hours of Friday’s intraday trade stood at 0.17 lakh.

Container Corporation of India Limited is the holding company engaged in the transportation of containers (rail and road) and handling of containers. 

Stock view :-

Container Corporation Of India Ltd is currently trading at Rs 1200, up by Rs 41.85 or 3.61% from its previous closing of Rs 1158.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1179 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1216.25 and Rs 1179 respectively. So far 297504(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 28226.17 crore.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1250.45 on 23-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 844 on 21-Dec-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1250.45 and Rs 1147.95 respectively.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.8 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.32 % and 3.88 % respectively.
 The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
