Bharti Airtel is the top Nifty gainer, stock rallies over 3.5
Benchmark indices rallied to their all-time high on Tuesday with Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel being the top Nifty gainers.
At 9.25 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 81.45 points, or 0.27%, higher at 30,403.57. The index hit an all-time high of 30,439.88 in the early session.
The NSE’s barometer Nifty 50 rose 28.65 points, or 0.30%, to 9,474.05. The index hit its fresh record high of 9,474.45 in trade.
Bharti Airtel, an Indian global telecommunications services company, is contributing nearly 70% to the BSE Sensex gains helping it to reach higher levels.
The stock has delivered over 6% returns in a period of one year and has underperformed the BSE Sensex and Nifty Service Sector indices over the same time span.
Stock view:
Bharti Airtel Ltd is currently trading at Rs 374.8, up by Rs 10.95 or 3.01% from its previous closing of Rs 363.85 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 367 and has touched a high and low of Rs 377.4 and Rs 367 respectively. So far 2309794(NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs 145445.4 crore.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 400.65 on 23-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs 283.95 on 09-Nov-2016. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 380.05 and Rs 336.95 respectively.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.14 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.37 % and 6.46 % respectively.
The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.
